Connie Keel is a different person today than she was at the time of the crime. In 1980 Connie was a 21-year old mother of two. Today she is a 50-year old grandmother. In 1980,Connie thought abuse was a normal element in every relationship. Today she realizes that the physical, psychological, and sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of family, friends, neighbors, and her husband was abnormal and detrimentally impacted her psyche. Back in 1980, Connie was a high school drop-out with no real vocational skills. Today she holds a GED and has achieved marketable proficiency in four separate vocations. continue
